‘Woman and dog‘ focuses on an abstract configuration of line and colour, centred only by the relationship between the subjects in the scene.
‘Rugby Boys’ explores the relationships between earth, sky, people and light during the early morning fog. The scene focuses on the surreal configuration between normal life in an abnormal world. Some manipulation was used to clean up the original grass, by choice.
In ‘Morning Light‘ the scene is defined by a series of harsh lines. Horizontal, vertical, diagonal. These serve to ground the observer as they orient themselves with the surroundings, making the fog no longer a two-dimensional image, but now a presence in their momentary lives.
